Who has a harder time, kids or adults?

Wait....... Have you had the thought, if these are children’s books, why am I posting information for parents? That is because in my experience as a therapist, it is the parents who are uncomfortable having tough conversations, not their children.

Children are curious. They are often content with simple explanations and are able to see positives in bleak situations. Due to their limited experiences, they lack the ability to see how this information may impact them, which helps them accept the information and continue through life. Adults on the other hand have had negative experiences and often worry that something bad will come from them sharing tough information with their child.

They can get stuck in a fearful thought pattern.

I hope that my books can give parents the courage they need to start these conversations. I hope children get answers to their tough questions and learn information that will help them move through life with more confidence.
